A Chronic Migraine

BOTOX is the only treatment approved by FDA for prevention of chronic migraines. It goes to prevent on average 8 to 9 headache days and migraine / probable migraine days a month. Over 100,000 people with a chronic migraine have been treated with BOTOX, since the approval in 2010. The actual treatment is done right here in our office and it takes about 15 minutes. BOTOX is injected into shallow muscles of the head and neck-not too deeply beneath the skin. Many patients say the injections feel like tiny pinches or pinpricks. There is no recovery time for this treatment and can be done on your lunch hour. Most insurance plans cover the majority of the cost of the treatment.
